Minutes of the June meeting were approved as published.
Motion by Treasurer Fisher to adopt the agenda as presented. Seconded by Clerk Hahn and it carried with
4 yeas, 1 absent.
Police Report: Calls for service for June 2004 was higher than for the same period last year. Appling for a grant for this winters snowmobile patrol.
Airport Report: Had a very busy weekend.
Treasurer Report: $726,405.28
Candidate for county prosecutor, Scott Ingersoll was here to announce his candidacy.
Dan Martin sent Chief Wagner a letter regarding the statutory framework of establishing a percentage of fines to be allocated to the local library. This matter is tabled until Chief Wagner meets with the Library Board.
Motion by Trustee Burdick to have Clerk Hahn be the officer delegate to Mers. Chief Wagner will be the employee delegate. Seconded by Treasurer Fisher and it carried 4 yeas, 1 absent.
Motion by Treasurer Fisher to authorize the treasurer to collect a 1% penalty on summer taxes not paid by September 14th. September 15th is the first 1%, then 1% additional on the first of the month until March 1 when taxes go delinquent to the county treasurer. Motion was seconded by Clerk Hahn and it carried with 4 yeas, 1 absent. Winter taxes have 3% added Feb 15th thru Feb 28th/29th when they go delinquent to the county treasurer.
