Police Report: None available
Airport Report: Good summer. The airport is getting more and more popular. Have one hanger almost complete and an inquire for another today.
Treasurers Report: $411,315.49
Library Report: Circulation for September was the highest since we began. The Banjo picker had a wonderful turn out and it was nice to see so many folks having a good time.
The November meeting will be on the 9th due to the General election on the 2nd. We will be having a special meeting on the 13th of October to discuss land purchases in the Industrial Park.
Indian River Christmas made a request to the board to use the facility (as in the past years) for Santa. Also they want to put a Christmas tree on the south side of the building and to close Floyd Street from the corner of Straits highway to the police driveway. The Chief is in favor of the closing. Motion by Trustee Waldron to grant the request as presented, seconded by Treasurer Fisher and it carried with 4 yeas, 1 absent.
A request was made on behalf of the Ray-Bob Condominium Association to blacktop Rotter Road from M-68 to Lakeview. The homeowners would pay for this on special assessment or up front to avoid interest. Also they are requesting a streetlight on the corner of M68 and Rotter Road. Motion by Treasurer Fisher and seconded by Clerk Hahn to do a resolution for the electric company to add the street light and to have Supervisor Jacobson contact the road commission about the paving.
Audience Comments: A gentleman who lives on South Street, off of the lake, wanted to talk about the ordinance prohibiting mooring on road ends. He suggested making the street no parking (like during the boat races, canoe races, summer fest, fireworks) and removing the sign on the corner of Witt and South that says “Lake Access”. Possible enacting a permit to moor a boat on road ends.
Motion by Trustee Waldron to pay the bills. Seconded by Treasurer Fisher and it carried with 4 yeas, 1 absent.
Motion to adjourn by Trustee Waldron at 7:38 pm.
Respectfully submitted by Clerk Diane M. Hahn
