MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE
TUSCARORA TOWNSHIP BOARD
DECEMBER 6, 2005

Meeting called to order at 7:00 pm by Supervisor Jacobson.

Members present: Rohr, Hahn, Jacobson, Fisher, Waldron
11 citizens were also in attendance

Minutes of the November meeting were approved as published.

Motion by Treasurer Fisher to adopt the agenda as presented. The motion was seconded by Trustee Waldron and it carried.

Police Report: Getting ready for snowmobile patrol. The state awarded a grant for the patrol again this year.

Treasurers Report: $259,188.96

The City of Cheboygan is asking for a letter of support for a USEPA Brownfield Redevelopment Grant. This will be 100% federal funded. Motion by Clerk Hahn to have Supervisor Jacobson sign the letter of support. Seconded by Trustee Rohr and it carried.

Gourdie-Fraser submitted a bid for $2000.00 for design of the GREENDOCK’s. Supervisor Jacobson mentioned a meeting Clerk Hahn had with fisheries and they are awarding a $25,000.00 grant for the entire 360’ to be brought back to natural vegetation. There was discussion if that would even be possible with the grade and the road. Clerk Hahn told that the engineers would do 2 or 3 designs of the area. Mrs. Snyder was concerned about the parking issue. Trustee Waldron said the seawall needed repair with or without a parking issue. Motion by Trustee Waldron to have Supervisor Jacobson sign the proposal for the design. Seconded by Treasurer Fisher and it carried.

Motion by Treasurer Fisher to adopt the poverty guidelines for the 2006 assessment year set by the State. Seconded by Trustee Rohr and it carried.

Motion by Trustee Waldron to adopt the Social Security Number privacy resolution. Seconded by Clerk Hahn and it carried.

Motion by Clerk Hahn to sign the fire department contract in the amount of $144,818.00. Seconded by Trustee Rohr and it carried with 4 yeas and Waldron abstaining.

Audience Comments: Gordon Graham presented a new drawing for the monument. Approx cost is $20,000.00 and was asking how to go about fund raising. The board said they would be willing to give him advise on that, but first he needed the get the approval from post members.

Motion to pay the bills by Trustee Rohr, seconded by Clerk Hahn and it carried.

Motion to adjourn at 7:53 pm by Trustee Waldron.
