Commissioner Wallace asked the board to reconsider our decision on recycling. He would like the board to hold a hearing. Supervisor Jacobson would like someone to explain the process. Trustee Waldron is not against recycling, he is against forced recycling. Treasurer Fisher said she gave the board the information on the program and we were informed. Clerk Hahn mentioned that last month she asked for a public hearing and the board said no. Mr. Wallace wanted to know if the committee put on a presentation, would the board attend? Supervisor Jacobson said he would. There were many audience comments and the only comment in support was from Burt Lake Preservation Association. It was noted that many from that group do not live and pay taxes in Tuscarora. Emmit County welcomes our citizens to recycle there. When they were starting up they distributed pamphlets encouraging it.
Audience Comments:
Motion to pay the bills by Treasurer Fisher, seconded by Trustee Waldron and it carried with 5 yeas.
Motion to adjourn by Trustee Waldron at 8:15 pm.
Respectfully Submitted by Clerk Diane M. Hahn
